Altogether, 33 percent of the dogs we rescue are in need of extraordinary medical care (that means amputations, other leg surgeries, emergency c-sections, treatment for gunshot wounds, gashes, heartworms, parvovirus or mange). Many of these dogs are overlooked because of their excessive medical costs. Without Brown Dog, many of them would have been euthanized. Our adoption fee just about covers the costs of vet bills and transporting a healthy dog, but for every special medical case we take, we need to raise addition funds. Without supporters like you, we wouldn’t be able to help so many deserving dogs!
